Web XR 기반 적층제조 로봇 실시간 원격 제어 — 현장 문제 해결을 위한 적용

AM Solutions는 한국과학기술연구원 Webizing Research Lab과의 공동개발을 통해 WXR 기술을 활용한 적층제조 로봇의 실시간 원격 제어 시스템을 실제 장비에 적용해 운영 테스트를 진행하고 있습니다. 이 시스템은 복잡한 로봇 제어, 비숙련자의 작업 참여, 잦은 프로그램 수정, 안전 관리의 어려움과 같은 제조 현장의 문제를 해결하는 데 목적을 두고 있습니다.

웹 기반 XR 환경과 디지털 트윈·실시간 동기화 기술을 통해 로봇 작업 공간과 가동 범위를 직관적으로 확인할 수 있으며, 프리핸드 제어·충돌 감지·실시간 피드백 기능을 통해 보다 쉽고 안정적으로 로봇을 운용할 수 있도록 지원합니다.

이를 통해 운영 부담을 낮추며, 비숙련자도 활용 가능한 로봇 작업 환경 구축에 기여할 것으로 기대합니다. 앞으로도 디지털 트윈 기반의 원격 적층제조 기술을 고도화해 현장의 실질적 문제 해결과 안전한 산업 환경 구현에 집중하겠습니다.

Real-time Remote Control of Additive Manufacturing Robots Based on Web XR — A Field-oriented Solution

AM Solutions, in joint development with the Webizing Research Lab at the KIST(Korea Institute of Science and Technology), is conducting operational testing by applying a real-time remote control system for additive manufacturing robots utilizing WXR technology to actual equipment. This system is intended to address challenges in manufacturing environments such as complex robot control, participation of non-skilled workers, frequent program modifications, and difficulties in safety management.

Through a web-based XR environment and digital-twin-based real-time synchronization technology, users can intuitively monitor the robot workspace and operating range. In addition, free-hand control, collision detection, and real-time feedback functions support easier and more stable robot operation.

Through this system, we expect to reduce operational burden and contribute to building a robot work environment that is accessible even to non-skilled users. Going forward, we will continue to advance digital-twin-based remote additive manufacturing technology, with a focus on solving practical challenges in the field and realizing a safer industrial environment.
